Here is my submission to the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators' contest for the month. The theme is "The Big Race and it's Unlikely Finish." So originally, the main character was going to be a sloth because it fit better conceptually. But after designing the character, i realized that not a lot of people can recognize the odd little animal so i changed it to a turtle. Hope you like it. God bless

hey brandon, glad you're back to posting! this is a great children's illustration because you can get lost in it for a while. i like how all the BG characters are doing specific and fun stuff (the racoons and goats being my favorite). looking forward to more illustrations!
